In capitalism, it is about optimizing for bias, right? Like, i actually have an agency that i'm trying to get ahead. And so if there is capital funding of science, it's going to fund the things that create r o i on that research. That creates both a reason to distort the mpo and a reason to a withhold information that is a source of competitive advantage. The essence of capitalism is so you can say the essence of science is no bias, right?"
