The Scaling Hypothesis of Artificial Intelligence
Deutsche: We don't seem to mean the same thing that when we talk about intelligence with animals. Animals should be on the bell curve if the only difference is hardware, he says. He uses something called the scaling hypothesis, and an analogy with GPT two and GPT three. Deutsch: The whole idea that artificial neural networks and biological neural networks are somehow related is a refuted idea - nobody takes it seriously today.
