The Canonization of the Bible
The word canon in Greek sort of meant like a stat that's a measuring rod. And so it denotes the idea of having met a particular standard, having reached a mark. The mistake people often make with regard to the biblical canon is to have this conception of a committee conferring authority on books of the Bible before after until the committee met. So you really don't see that with the New Testament. This is poor disenfranchised, largely illiterate people taking the world by storm with these writings. Now as a secular person, you could look at that and say, this is a rare example of not the victor's history. This is the opposite of that.
