Powell Says Liquidity Is Tightened
The last time we heard from Powell he said that conditions have tightened, but conditions are very loose right now. The treasury increasing their borrowing in the first quarter and tax receipts falling. Why else would they be borrowing more? So things are not as rosy as they seem with how Powell is trying to paint them. But I think there's a little bit of that going on.
