In recent years the PLA has gone head to head toe to toe with a foreign military and two of those instances have involved India. I think India did exactly what I expected India to do, which is India resisted aggression against itself. The question that we have to face up to is a crisis in East Asia that could involve direct Chinese aggression against another American ally. That is the moment when the US is going to need all the help it can get. We are staring this problem in the face. And the debate in this country is when that will happen,. But that's a whole different question which we need not get involved in.
