Aginaldo's Guorilla War
Amelio aginaldo's sphere of influence had always been concentrated around manila. But the philippine archipelago contained thousands of filled with steep mountains and dense jungles. On the most distant islands, long standing alliances among prominent families, land holding elites and tribal chiefs held the real power. When war broke out with america, most places charted their own path, choosing resistance or collaboration in varying degrees. Some of the fiercest resistance to us was on the island of pana, 400 miles south of vanila, in the country's central island group.
