The Singularity: The Process Where Quantity Just Takes Off

There's a prima facie case that this is actually going to happen. Machines smarter than us will be able to create smarter machines in turn and so on. So for philosopher I think this is great because A, it's a philosophically interesting and compelling argument but B, it has enormous practical consequences as this ever happens. It'll be one of the most important things in the history of the planet.
