The Importance of Safety on a Ship Full of Men
Hope was sent by her school to something known as Sea Year. It's really our first experience with hands-on engineering or deck work. Older women would warn them about what they had faced when they'd been sent out during sea year. She told us that as soon as she stepped on board, she really finally understood what it was like to be a young woman on a ship full of men.
