Danny Kahneman and Ernst Smith were chosen by the Nobel committee to represent those two sides. The prize was given for the introduction and use of this methodology, which was an important methodology in economics. But still the question remains, how can how can they have shown opposite things? And the answer is that they don't contradict each other. They are both basically right.
