The Dar-Bye in Zhengzhou's Foxconn Conflict

Many of the Chinese residents would see these big white standing outside the gate when they have a lockdown. These are the volunteers or the district workers. However, in the case of Zhengzhou's Foxconn conflict, those must be local armed police who hold on their PPEs as a dar-bye and trying to control the protesters. So basically, they are a range of people performing different functions from policing, from enforcing health policies or even basic security. And most of them are not medically trained.
