The Effects of Excentric Training on Sarcomere Strength
The amount of passive tension is being reduced every time we add a sarcomere in series. And that's why we end up in a situation where we just can't add more sarcomeres after a certain point, because we've already got so many sarcomeres. So what we're getting at is there's more passive tension that's being added on. It's the total tension about those fibers, so it's that as the active tension, and it's the passive tension, which creates the total tension.
