Do Cystic Ovarian Cysts Cause PCOS?
Ovaries become enlarged and contain many fluid-filled sacs called follicles. And those are around the eggs. You don't necessarily have to have cysts if you have PCOS, which we've already mentioned. These cysts can contribute to hormonal imbalances, but they're usually harmless themselves. So having ovarian cysts doesn't mean that you have polycystic ovary syndrome,. But also not having them doesn'tmean that you don't have it.
