What's the Quality of Conscience?
The law on civilized countries assumes that the voice of conscience tells everybody, thou shalt not kill. The organizers of the massacres knew full well that murder is against the normal desires and inclinations of most people. But from their perspective, it would have been evil not to follow this newly developed voice of conscience - even though you don't want to,. You're doing your duty. It's basically the way we are with our obligations. We don’t want to do them, we have to do them.
