The Importance of Women in the CIA
The average or the median pay grade for women in 1953 was three levels below the men they worked beside. And there wasn't a single woman who had an executive position within the CIA during that time. That would all change after the pedicope panel, but it would definitely take some fighting because the men were not inclined to go along with it.
