The Inevitability of Conflict Between Russia and the West
If the Baltic hasn't been part of NATO, we can presumably assume that Russia would have attempted to retake those states. Does that suggest that conflict really between the West and Russia is more or less inevitable? The Cold War was not something where we made some actions against the Soviet Union. If Russia were to relinquish its imperial mentalities, I don't think we would have this conflict over Ukraine.
