The Effects of Knowing Nothing About Someone vs Knowing Something About Somebody Else

CNN.com's John Sutter talks about the effect of knowing a stranger's details on how they feel about you. He asks whether stereotypes, which rely on a lot, also play a role in this study. The effects are modest, but i imagine that they would be perhaps smaller for when you know already know lot about somebody else,. learning one or two more things might not really move the needle and how much you think about them.
