The Ralston College Podcast

CHAPTER

Voltaire's Introduction to English Literature

There is a low social status of commerce that permeates french life in the eighteenth century. Note, as you read the philosophical letters, voltaire's style, his manner of drawing a reader. It is wonderfully voltarian to allow the reader to draw his or her own enlightened conclusions.
