The Timing of a Trial in the Classified Documents Case
The special counsel, Jack Smith, who's bringing the classified documents case and now has notified Donald Trump that he's a target, his case seems to be broadening every week or so. He could be facing yet another charge for his actions in Georgia, separate at the state level. The judge who's going to hear that, Aileen Cannon, is a Trump appointed judge who's already put her thumb on the scales in Donald Trump's favor in a previous kind of ruling. Is she going to say, well, we can't have a case heard in a presidential year? Or will she listen to what the DOJ says, which is, well, let's just get this over and done
