What unites all those animals is their stinging cells, their nidocytes. Like anemones orjelly sh hum and quarrels, all ill produce these little stinging cells to the use in defence of pray capture. I've already learnt so much about corals. I didn't know that they got little stinkies. And so what exactly is a coral? That's a great question that we think about all the time. Sum corals are animals, first and foremost. But though corals, when you thing of a coral reef, corals're much more than like t sume of their parts.
