Is It OK to Be Two Levels Away From the CEO?

In a lot of organizations, for anything to do with product development maturity, a CEO is going to have a head of product increasingly who would be tasked with that stuff. How does that fit into the mix of the executive product and design? In my experience, it fits pretty easily in that I've reported up through a head ofproduct who reported to the CEO. And so through my product leader, I had access. So as long as you can be, it's OK to be two levels away from the CEO as long as the level between you is a head of Product. It doesn't have to be a head ofProduct. But we're still not there yet.
