Marilyn Monroe was an adult in a legal sense, with the exception of some instances of domestic violence and sexual violence. She clearly had a lot of problems with mental illness, but she was sane enough to reach the legal threshold. But was it good? I don't think so. And that's what's really difficult to accommodate within the pared-down moral framework that we have left to us.
