Work as Compensation Statistics - Are We at Physical Health or Mental Health?
One in three workers sustain an injury or illness as a result of their work. But disproportionately, a larger number are experiencing poor mental health arising from their work. A big problem we've got is workers compensation systems don't really fit a the mental health conditions. There's a 50% discrepancy between physical and mental injuries reported at work. And people often see employers differently than they do themselves. We think there's a lot of undretected a mental health injuries at work that needs to be addressed.
