The Likelihood of a Charge Against Trump in Georgia on January 6
Seditious conspiracy was not mentioned in the process memo. It's a crime to assist or engage in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States and the laws. The reason is that DOJ hasn't brought an insurrection charge in really any of the, you know, the 900 or so criminal prosecutions relating to January 6. That only comes into play when we get to folks like the Oath Keepers who are clearly engaging in the use of force.
