i was having a bad day at work. I had just come from investment banking and was like moving up the learning curve, so i definitly was pretty serious. The solution was just showing up to these co working sessions. Admittedly, i did feel like they were a little bit of a waste of time,. But yes, showing up to those, they saw i smile, i have a personality. These just happened to be people who needed a little bit more social stuff work. And everything ended up, you know, liking me reasonably well - or at least thinking more favorably then than those first couple of months.
Everyone has bad days. You may be tired, stressed, or dealing with a difficult time. That's human. But if you want to succeed in the workplace, a meta-skill is ensuring that these bad days don't snowball into destructive days. While you can shake off a bad day, a destructive day can have lasting damage and is totally avoidable.
