The Standard for Market Manipulation
The standard for market manipulation was discussed in the criminal context about 30 years ago. It basly says that you are buying stock prices solely to artificially inslate the stock price. And it's really a question of intent. What was the intent of ourcagos ahang and the other participants in the scheme? Was the sole intent to artificially inflate the stockprice? i think that's a very cof standard to me, although i think its very fact specific.
