Pre-Modern India and Religions in the Last 30 Years
There are huge negative implications with which modern Indian society continues to reverberate with this self-identification of religion and politics. And it's no news, no new news at least to anybody who is observing the modern political situation for the last 30 years in South Asia that there is always a fight over religion. These categories have always been fluid. Colonialism and imperialism is not the same as Chalukia imperialism or Mughal imperialism for that matter. While we might use the word, the same word to describe all of these periods of time and their rules, the nature of these things have to be brought out separately.
