What's the Difference Between the Elements and the Holy Spirit?
Bollinger believed that christ was spiritually present, and we received his benefits by faith. But as one scholar, im blinking on to at the moment, calls sacramental parallelism. Bullinger was very concerned about the language of substance that calvin would use in his earlier work. He wod me crisis substantially present spiritually by the holy spirit, not in the elements. And so this idea of omnipresent yet bodily ascendet becomes a central feature of reformed christology and sacramentology. It's here that we have one of the foundational documents of reformed christianity.
