Sheila and Clay Pled Not Guilty to Second Degree Murder

It took four months for Sheila and Clay to get charged with second degree murder. In their mug shots, you can clearly see that they had their home clothes on under their orange prison-issued scrubs. The grand jury were shown extensive images as well as video footage of the conditions in which Lacey was found. If she was having such a hard time, they should have reached out and gotten her the help she so desperately needed. I realized that Lacey was no longer a child when this happened to her, but she was their child. They were supposed to love and protect her.
