San Francisco: An Outlier in the US Context
San Francisco has been struggling with all these problems for a while. And then suddenly Bay Area based companies were the most gung-ho about getting people to stop coming to the office at the beginning of COVID, let it keep happening forever. The one other city in the US that's sort of big city that's comparable in the percentage of people that are still staying home is Washington, DC. But it feels different. I guess tourism has come back to Washington in a big way. So at least the streets are full of people, even though the offices are, I guess, all empty, especially the government offices. It's going to be a long and difficult and expensive process to figure
