Is this not similar to the con s between expectation surveys done by market professionals, who do have an incentive to get it right, and just asking consumers? I think that that's a difficult question. For one thing, if i recollect correctly, the the predictive accuracy, say, ofte survey of professional forecasts, is not better than the michigan survey data.
