Introduction
Code Switch looks at a case about the constitutionality of Iqwa, or the Indian Child Welfare Act. This Land is hosted by Rebecca Nagle, a journalist based in Oklahoma and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. In 1978, Congress passed IqA to prevent family separation in native communities. It sets out preferences for where children should go if they can't be with their biological parents.
