What Is Consciousness?
We have brains we don't understand, but then they give rise to the mind. Everything the brain does tat doesn't seem like an organ should be able to do is not in your brain. There's reasonably good evidence that all the cognition that happens in your body isn't inyour brain. So it may not even be your brain. But then, but then you've got consciousness. We know exactly what it is. Consciousness is like the experience of being you. Not only do we not know, we don't even have an understanding of how matter, mere matter, can experience a world.
