The Tribes of Europe: Attitudes towards the EU

This chapter discusses a study on European attitudes towards the European Union, identifying six tribes of Europeans based on their responses. It analyzes the profiles of EU rejecters, frustrated pro-Europeans, and austerity rebels, highlighting their opinions and attitudes towards the EU. The chapter also explores the opinions of hesitant Europeans, the differences between elites and the general public, and the uncertain narrative surrounding Europe.
