The Importance of an Intersectional Analysis
Reform doesn't address phobia or other structures of domination that are all central to the prison. Instead, it's about making a better prison, a more kinder, more gentler prison. If you're living at the intersection of these various categories or systems, you're black, if you're a woman,. if you're poor, if you what have you on down the line, that complicates things for you even more. And so i just thought i wanted to read that quote to people, because i think that is the important thing about why reform isn't working.
