Is Quanty Mechanics Fundamental?

My intuition is that take quate mechanics as a giben and find out how gravity fits intoit. And so people' been playing with that idea for now almost 25 years, and it's led in some surprising directions. Can we sort of just assemble some quanti mechanical degrees of freedom, lots of them, and have them interactin in sufficiently complicated ways that geometry sort of emerges from that souptes? So its it's a description of things that behave like gravity, without having gravity in the description. Yes, there's this other description, which is gravity, but there's there's a ative which doesn't have gravity in it.
