Multifamily Lenders - What's the Difference?
Mortgage brokers primarily, and this has been a really big change in multifamily. Conventional lenders have all but disappeared except for major centers or maybe a five million loan or more right now C major C is pretty much the only game in town. They're really wanting you to opt into this MLI program. So they really are trying to push it. I just did a CMHC loan where I opted out of it. And I was the only one who went conventional. But even some of the CMHC lenders have disappeared. There's always changes with multifaith lenders, which is why I like to work with a broker.
