The Future of Node Running

The lightning network that does linger in the back of my mind like it is there's some point in the future where yes lightning works now it's really good. I can imagine node running becoming kind of like a game and if it became possible to be a profitable node runner with a small amount of capital. We have a bunch of teens running around just profiting like crazy every time we make a lightning transaction because their nodes are just so well positioned.
