The Importance of Owning Customer Data

If you roll into a conference room with somebody and the first thing you say is well I own customer data. Just take customer to be anything right. It's not a great place to start from it would immediately kind of put you on your heels if you walk in and say well I own that data. Well, no, you don't you may shepherd it you you may kind of steward it you may. You may be responsible for making sure the policies get documented or enforced but the idea of owning the data kind of outright is a little is a little goofy.
