The Importance of Version Numbers

For many services, the get size is sufficient. If you want to mandate version numbers everywhere consistently, I don't have a problem with that as long as it's easy for the developers to do that. The reason I push against version numbers everywhere is because it often adds a lot of toil. But if you can get rid of that toil, I have no problem with that.
