Using a Functional Language for a Vim Plugin?

The original joke link named for rock was typed pure functional Lua. So that now, yeah, this is something where I've always wanted a functional language that can be used for plugin type stuff like that. And so being able to have a foundation that's written in the kind of more system oriented language, but then have the plugin model be higher level? Yeah, I think that's that's a good goal for sure.
