I think across the Arab world you see these examples repeatedly so Morocco for instance is stable peaceful and relatively quite prosperous compared to other North African countries. Libya, Algeria and Egypt have gone through enormous amounts of turmoil and insecurity and war during that time. There's no hiding from if you manage to govern a country peacefully and make it grow and prosper in a hundred years there's no escaping the conclusion that you must have done something right. I think Iraq also is the same Iraq had a monarchy for a while and then when it went to the path of revolutionary for democratic republic things have been deteriorating non-stop in a horrific way.
