generic Canada is this design aesthetic that originated mid 1980s and continued until early 2010s. It was a lot of like 1920s to 1950s packaging and references to American vernacular with a lot of negative space. There's some articles that were really interesting about how these styles can emerge in a particular like country and then they'll just get like transported out to other countries. The same style ends up like muting the entire world and like covering the entire world in the same like blandification.
