Henry Ford's Peace Ship

In 19 15, Henry ford launched an amateur diplomatic mission to europe to broker and end to world war one. Ford invited many people, including jane adams, a famous social worker, sociologist and later co founder of the a cilu. Influenza broke out during the voyage, with one person dying. Henry ford got sick and withdrew to his cabin to stay there permanently, thinking he was dead. The whole de bockle cost ford about half a million dollars, or roughly over ten million dollars in today's money. Of the experience, ford said, the whole world laughed at my peace expedition.
