Some experts, many that i know, that i've talked to, believe that there's no way the fed is going to raise rates five, six times or more while the market is crashing. This time last year they hit record hies. But instead of saying, ok, things are back to normal, heavir coved, we still got some time to go, but let's start raising rates a little. What did they do? The opposite. They continue to buy treasuries and keep rates superlow for another 12 months. That money was not given to banks to shor up the system, like it was two thousand eight.
