The true and false attributes in HTML don't exist outside of area attributes, meaning that checked equals true. There are other attributes that are either keyword or enumerable,. They can be set to keywords or they can be set as an enum. Autocomplete has on or off as one of the values. So if you set autocomplete to false, I guess that is turning it off because it will not be on.
