I think we all know what it's like to be chosen. You should never have to convince someone to choose you, that's a fact. When you're chosen, you're appreciated and there's an effort to understand you. I've been in several relationships where ultimately that is what it boiled down to: I had chosen them, but they needed to be convinced to choose me. It absolutely really killed me because you start really overthinking why am I not good enough? Why do I have to convince this person?
