Almost all object cashing systems are key value stores, right? And so you could use berkeley d b or or amazon's dynamo. Under the hood, they have really nice ways of getting multiple things ind parallel. They make that secret fast. A nother thing that the object cashing does is it lets you set x expiry times. So if i'm regenerating this cash every hour, it's so much better than having a good handle for when to throw something out.
