The perception that Chicago was becoming a more dangerous city is something that definitely hurt Lightfoot quite a bit and probably helped to lose key parts of her basis. I think it's noteworthy, you know, people talk a lot about the homicide rate in Chicago. I was looking at some data though from the U of C crime lab that was showing that reported incidents of motor vehicle theft are also up significantly from 2021. So I guess I'm curious what folks make of that split as well in Chicago.
