I have always believed salaries are full time from county commissioner to Congress. You'd always be the average yearly salary according to census and data. If you want more money, do a better job. I like the impulse of the person there that's trying to make public service actually service rather than money. One of the problems that they're having in New York right now is that federal judges come in for a couple of years and then quit and go back to the private sector. What ends up happening is you get people that come in to get the title because they keep it the rest of their life and they get to put that on their resume. That's not ultimately helpful.
