All domestic chickens come from mostly red jungle fowl with a little bit of, I think gray jungle fowl is the other subspecies probably. They just were domesticated, about the current estimate is like 3,500 years ago in Southeast Asia. So there is no such thing as a wild chicken. There are ancestors, there's wild jungle fowl, but a chicken semantically has been the product of domestication and then released.
